Unless "my Dad is an engineer at Turner" and "my Dad owns a print shop" is "Daddy money"-90% of LSU greeks are out of luck.

As someone who has had it, unaidded alcohol poisoning is rare. Really rare.
Tell that to my friend who downed a bottle of vodka when we were juniors in high school. We buried him a couple days later.

The Tri Delt president my senior year was the daughter of a truck driver. She was also a smokeshow with a 4.0 in petroleum emgineering.

20 guys there watching this guy drink himself to death because he feels forced to drink, and not one stepped in to stop it?
Sounds like 20 cases of involuntary manslaughter.
Wait, you mean if I am watching someone do something stupid and dangerous, I'm committing a crime if I don't step in and stop them? That's a new one on me.

I did not find the members of my fraternity to be anymore wealthy than the average student. I sure was not. Very middle class group on average. Lot of broke MFs too
Fiji & phi delt, yeah probably not

You would be wrong. Lots of cool, smart and social kids come from regular families.
And a lot of rich kids are awkward.

I wouldn't rep them no matter what the fee. Just trying to get info, dbag.

Look at the NOLA debutante lists every year. Most of them are in sororities. But by no means are they all.

I am a Phi from LSU - part of the first pledge class from when it was reactivated in 2005-2006 actually.
A lot of us do not come from money. I know I especially do not. Both parents are/were police officers. It did give me a lot of everlasting memories and more so all my best friends were from it. I'll never regret being a part of it.
I am both ashamed and appalled that this happened in my house. One that we worked so hard to resurrect. I am not proud to call myself a Phi tonight.
As a father and a sensible, caring human being my heart goes out the family of this young man. I also hope that these boys get justice but also learn to live with this the rest of their lives.

You have quite the hard on for MHS and mandeville 'proper' so I'll venture to guess your girl did then - I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you're under 30 because if not

I was blindfolded, put into a car and driven a pretty good distance. I was kicked out the car on a dirt road next to a cane field at 3 AM, with only the clothes on my back, no wallet, no money, and in those days cell phones didn't exist.
shite like this is why people aren't really going to give a shite if they actually kill off greek life from campus.

If I post about mandeville, it's making fun of the fake new money douch factor. You might be confusing my disdain of Slidell with a hard on for mandeville.

Eh, it makes for a fun war story. I've got a few like that too. I liked that better than having to go to the house to turn someone's light out at 3 am

We used to sew quarters into the waistband of our boxers so we had money for the pay phone if this happened.

That's awesome.
We were in the woods and were given one last chance to relinquish everything in our pockets. I thought about hanging on to my cellphone but decided to hand it over. Glad I did because they ran us into a pond while blindfolded
