As the commercial said, “There’s only one thing worse in the universe, that’s no Aunt Jemima at all.”

They’re a subsidiary of Pepsi, they’re not going anywhere.

When their sales crater - and they're going to - Pepsi will pull the plug.

Oh, don’t get me wrong, I hope they fail miserably, but they are pretty in to virtue signaling on the corporate level, so it will take a pretty big drop for them to take real action.

Not according to her family members. They were all proud to have her represent the company.
But since it hurt your feelings, lets cancel her.

Black people are not capable of understanding when they're being oppressed. It is the job of the modern, educated white progressive liberal to help them understand.

You could say it's a white man's...burden.

It’s not a racial caricature mascot. She was a real person.

This reminds me of a joke Bert Kreischer told in a standup.

He went to a Starbucks and there was this black dude who recognized him. He asked Bert if he wanted cream in his coffee.. He told him he liked his coffee thugged out.. The guy asked what he mean and he said "black"..

The black dude was laughing.. So the next day he said he had to think of another one.. He gets there the black dude is excited, waiting to hear what he is going to say. He gets up there and the black dude says, after Bert makes his order "sir, do you want cream with that", to set him up because he knew he was going to say something about black.. And Bert said "I like my coffee that doesn't know his daddy"..

The black dude is laughing his arse off.. And there is this middle aged white women who said "I heard what you said and you should be ashamed of yourself for telling jokes like that to a black person, they suffered for so long..... etc, etc" and he looks at the black dude and says "that's what's wrong with cream".

Obviously saying, its these white people who think they know what's best for black people, who are making a big deal out of these things that no one ever thought to make a big deal about.

I'm offended! Pearls are a cultural symbol of oppression and white imperialism in the pacific rim!

I would wager if the lady herself were still around, she'd tell these people to mind their own business and go take their meds.

I looked for the syrup today and they are already phasing her off the bottle. Some of the bottles had her face and others just had the aunt jemima name. Wonder when the name change will happen
