Y’all realize it was the called the Pearl Milling Company well before they changed the name to Aunt Jemima for branding purposes in 1889.

The worst part is by and large, this is not a move that they had to do. People were not boycotting Aunt Jemima, no one was seriously calling or pushing for this rebrand. Most black people liked being able to buy a product with a black person on the cover. Hell, the reason I originally started buying Aunt Jemima to begin with was because I thought the logo looked alot like my Grandmother.

You tell that black guy what to think!

And you realize that...

Nancy Green (March 4, 1834 – August 30, 1923) was a former slave, nanny, cook, activist, and the first of many African-American models hired to promote a corporate trademark as "Aunt Jemima".
An accomplishment she was proud of and her family protested against removing her from the brand.
When getting woke goes too far.

Meh... I switched to 100% pure maple syrup or cane syrup from corn syrup years ago, anyway.

no more royalties, they'll probably file a discrimination suit, and more than likely get a settlement

Perhaps you should come to grips with it being a Hollywood/ad agency construct, and never accurately depicted slave women
They didnt even launch the brand until 1957. Remind me when Gone With the Wind was released? (you know the highest grossing film in movie history)
The 1st Aunt Jemima
