i hate the whole flying experience. the security hassle, the lines, the arse backwards boarding procedure. the crowded planes.

If you don't board early in first class, how else are you going to lord your superiority over the poors if you can't scowl at them over your drink as they shuffle by?

I just hate talking to people in general.

What does everyone hate about flying?
Idk, but everyone must hate something, because the airport is full of miserable folks.
It's an incredible place to people watch. I particularly enjoy the people in Group 7 who think the plane will leave without them as they stand immediately behind priority boarding.
I also get a crack out of the guy in row 20 who stands up in the aisle and grabs his bag as soon as the plane reaches the gate.
Boarding/unboarding a plane is the most unnecessarily disorganized ordeal you'll see.

Especially in ATL. They might have the rudest agents in the country.
I've been yelled at by TSA in Atlanta for the way I had my laptop placed. It was so unnecessary.
Then, the airport's train system was down.
Then, they had the heat set to like 85 degrees.
frick that airport.

I'm amazed that people in first class want to board first, and then get hit in the head with everyones backpacks and purses.
It ain't first class unless you turn left.

I hate flying without access to an airline or AMEX lounge. I feel dirty sitting there with the proles with people fighting over access to chargers and overpriced fried food
Much better to be secured in the newly upgraded Delta Sky Club lounges, noshing on freshly torn kale with Greek Olives, my choice of 3 different hummuses, and sparkling water with freshly squeezed lemon and limes.

I have never had a bad experience flying through Atlanta.
I do prefer to leave out of our local little airport though as security never takes more than 10 min.

Personally I love flying. I enjoy takeoff and landing. I enjoy knowing I am going somewhere different.
Lines/Security- get freaking pre check and know what to pack
People in terminal- lounges are an amazing relaxation area
Boarding- unless you are worried about putting your suitcase up... why fight to be first? All it means is you have to sit down longer
Seats- pick seats early so you don’t get middle. Oh it cost money... well if you can afford to fly you can afford $19 for a different seat.
Fellow Pax- earbuds and Netflix or music
Food- don’t be that person bringing in Greek. Just bring a damn water and some snacks
Baggage- don’t check any and learn to pack smart
Delays- don’t fly American
Pets- don’t fly United

The BOSE Quiet Comfort noise cancelling headphones were the greatest invention ever for airplane travel. I put those bad boys on, play some music (or don't play music, it doesn't matter) and ignore everything else.

tough to do when you have to be in a different city every day.

Buy a book, read it.

I'd only talk if I ended up sitting next to the in-flight hot girl.
I laugh because most people on planes don't want to be disturbed until the hot chick sits next to them. Whats makes it really funny is the hot girl is probably thinking i wish i could just get a minute of peace when i fly.
I guess Hot Chicks have it rough

My ipad Pro preloaded with Netflix offline downloads and ebooks has been a gamechanger for my flying experience.
TSA Precheck and a great set of noise canceling headphones as well.

Everytime I'm at Hartsfield it feels like there's a yoga pants convention going on. I love people watching there. I don't particularly care for the actual flying part, I get a little anxious, but I like the experience leading up to it. I don't fly for work so I'm always either pumped as hell about a fun trip I'm going on or ready to be going back home. I love sitting in a restaurant in my concourse getting a little buzz on and people watching.

Where do you live in ATL? Also, rookie move flying out of ATL in the AM. All the experienced travelers know you go between 12-3 to avoid the morons.

i frequently talk to people on planes. a few beers in the terminal followed by a few vodka or wild turkey minis i will be in a good mood and talkative. dont really go out of my way if the person is headphones/sleeping, but can be a lot more charismatic irl than my epersona.

I fly a lot. This is just not true. Most are quite courteous. However, they do get annoyed with the idiot passengers just as we do.
