My fav was Space invaders. I could beat it in balckout mode.

Yes. They basically sent out an Alpha release of the game so it would come out simultaneously with the movie for marketing reasons.

I stumbled on to the Easter egg in Adventure as a teenager. Had no idea what I was looking at. Decades later I read about it on the Internet.

I was a bit young for Atari. I had some cousins that had one and would play it at their house. This was my set-up circa 1986:

The good Atari 2600 sports carts were Real Sports Football and Real Sports Baseball.
I used to piss my dad off playing 2 player mode in Real Sports Baseball. I figured out how to throw the ball around the horn and would do it after every out when the bases were empty.

I played Donkey Kong on an Atari 7800 emulator and thought it was actually pretty solid until I played it on the NES and the NES its definitely a step up.
I guess it's a cool nostalgic product, hard to believe it took until 2026 to release them though.

Space invaders and Yars Revenge were the 2 games I remember getting with the console from Santa Clause!
a few years later, figuring out the atari set up in the back of the tv led me to learn how to use a knife to tune a channel finding a "semi"-scrambled playboy channel

I liked ET. Trying to figure out what the hell I was supposed to do without instructions was fun. Similar to the Superman game although i never figured out what I was supposed to do in that one.
And I found the Adventure easter egg all on my own.
