I had Pitfall and Megamania.
Pitfall was ok, but after you got past the first 100 screens or so, you realized it was neverending. No goal.
Asteroids was the best arcade game made for the 2600.

The Atari + line has been out since 2023. First came the 2600+, then the 7800+, and most recently the 2600+ Pac-Man edition.
These are technically emulation boxes though and you'll probably need to update them out of the box to ensure (almost) full compatibility w/the original carts as well as the newly produced ones.
I've got the 7800+ if anyone has any questions. My 5 year old loves playing the 7800 version of Joust right now.

I had a pattern for Pac-Man. Never die.
It also seemed pretty simple to figure out how to play Asteroids without ever getting killed.
