At what point does jogging get easier?

So I'm a couple weeks into jogging about 1.5- 2 miles a night 5x's a week and it still hurts me bad. Hurts my legs but more importantly takes me 20 minutes or more to completely relax and catch my breath. I've got the same exact stamina as the first night and It's boring and frustrating. Not trying to be a "runner", just trying to get in some light cardio to get in shape and feel better. I'm 6'1" 181lbs.

If you're going to run every day, you need to mix it up. Work in some short stuff and maybe one longer day

5x a week? If you are not trying to be a runner, why are you doing it 5 times a week?

Mix walking and running. Changing pace is key

Why not just make it a brisk walk ?

By runner I mean I'm not trying to run 10k's and shite. I run because I don't get enough exercise during the day and I've got nothing better to do at home.

Start jogging on the balls of your feet instead of heel-striking.
Thank me later.

shins?

Shins, thighs, feet. Might just need some new shoes. No shin splints though

Stretch a lot. Before and after you run. Change up your distance and your pace.

Run sprints. Extend runs. Interval training will get you there. Keep at it my man.

As for my pace, I'm right at about 7 and half minutes on the mile which is a little bit better than 2 weeks ago. I may try to slow it down a hair and see how it goes.

I'm 6'3" 125 lbs with a dad body. I can run the two miles with a slow pace easily. Instead of easier do you mean enjoyable? I hate it until I'm done. Every time. I'd rather cut grass or weedeat a mile long ditch.

Get you a no strings attached side piece

Best answer: rest days.
Run less days and add a bit of distance to one of the runs, usually the last of the week.

It will never be enjoyable to me.....ever. So yes I mean easier.

It will come trust me. Your body does not improve or adapt unless it is forced to and feels some pain and is pushed to its limits. There will be a point (if you choose to go beyond that mileage) where two miles will feel like walking to your mailbox.
Definitely mix it up though. Don't do the max every day. There are plenty of beginner running programs available for whatever mileage you want to get to.

Be patient. Allow time for recovery if there is deep soreness. It'll come

That's called running by most as opposed to jogging.
You'll know when you hit it, get ready to be absorbed for quite a few years.
