I worked for Baxter Healthcare for many years, Started in Cleveland, MS and we had a single 54 year old female in the plant who found a guy and decided to get married. Everyone was shocked, although she seemed to be a nice lady. Anyhow, they got married and went to the Bahamas on their honeymoon. Three days into the honeymoon, he had a heart attack and died on her.

If find Miss. Right, for heaven's sake be careful. Pace yourself and don't let her love you to death on the honeymoon.

You have been warned!

I am not. Just have 4 friends who got married at 25 and ddivorced before 30. They are all 4 happier now on 2nd marriage but I do not envy what they went through at 28 and 29. I could not do more than 1.

Yes...4 that come to mind are on 2nd marriage.

when my mom used to get sad about my lack of prospects i'd always bring up these scenarios

i couldn't imagine where i'd be if i lost those 4-5 years and all the social stuff that comes along with it...only to THEN be all alone (again)

My family name dies with me. At least our branch. Me and my dad are the only males and my only child is a daughter. We are too old to have any more.

I think some people (like me) just shouldn't be married. I don't have the patience and would feel hemmed in.

A lot of people who have no business ever being married are those who have the kids who have to be shuttled back and forth.

They say, "OMG half of marriages end in divorce, that is terrible!" but I believe half lasting is amazing given if they last because that is FOREVER. The half that don't is inflated by the multiple-divorced people.

I’m all of the above but I’d like to think at 38 I’m not looking to get married because I’m set in my ways & content with my life the way it is
