At what point does it make sense to never get married?

39 and never married. Shocker, I know.
At what point does one just say that they will enjoy the single life for life and that is it?
At this point, the chance I find a woman with few tethers is pretty slim. Seems to not be worth the hassle at this point.
Now I could start going after the late 20s and early 30s crowd, but I've learned that I have very little patience for the vast majority of them outside of the throws off tinderellas and bumblebees.
What say you, infinite wisdom of the OT?

Do t do it until you find the right one. When you find the right one you’ll know it’s time.

I'm 40 and if I got divorced tomorrow I'd never remarry. 0.0% chance. I love my wife though

Not 39...especially not for a man.
Don't marry just to do it. Just enjoy life and if the right woman comes along...you'll know it.

If you have made it to 39 without getting married or have kids, stay that way.
You don’t want to be a 45 year old with an infant.
I love my kids but if i had to go back through having an infant in my 40s, that would be miserable.

Marriage doesn't make much sense unless you want kids.

Many do it and are not miserable.

Go find you a filthy rich 90 year old in a nursing home and marry her.
You can thank me later

Exact opposite. If I divorced or was widowed...I wouldn't write off the possibility of marriage again forever.

If you don't plan to have kids there's no reason to get married. Coming from someone whose been married with kids for 15 years.

I’m 41 and I’ve been past the point for a few years.
No kids either.

Same here. I'm not unhappy but I could be a lot happier.

My parents divorced when my dad was 39. He told me "son, I'll never get married again". He's 70 now and still single but he's had the same girlfriend for about 15 years. She's 20 years younger than him too.

Yeah, I can see getting married again but those days are over.

It only makes sense for a man to get married if the woman is wealthy.
