I’d rather change the diaper of a 1 year old than change one of a 90 year old

My best friend said he would never ever ever get married. He then got married, age 40, had his first baby at 41. Never been happier. I don’t think you can ever lock the door, love knocks, you open.

Only reason for a man to get married is if she's loaded or you need a beard.

Well what exactly are you looking for?

If you’re wanting a family you’re better off doing so with someone very similar to you than a complete opposite. I don’t regret my marriage but I made the mistake in expecting her to change her personality.

My cousin is 42, still lives with his parents and just got his first girlfriend.

Yeah, he gets made fun of quite a bit.

I'm 57, and it never happened and probably won't. We all die alone, anyway.

I’m 58 and won’t get married again. I’ve grown to appreciate and embrace the single life.

Kids discussion aside, I’ve never truly understood/grasped the concept of marriage.

Personally, I don’t believe it’s “natural” for a person to be with one person their entire life. IMO it goes against our nature and biology. Basically forcing a square peg into a round hole.

37 and I feel the same way.
I like my life, what’s the point in fricking it up now?
If someone came along and really enhanced things and it was great then maybe, but the minute that it got tough, I’m probably gonna be ready to get out, because my life isn’t complicated, and why would I want to trade that for complicated?

19 or 59 its all the same, ONLY get married when you find the one you cant live without, AND, and thats a very big and, you see clear evidence she acts in a way you are certain she feels the same. far too many fools truly love a woman who is just acting like she loves you but in truth is just "settling" with being with you out of convenience and using your monetary assistance until they find someone better

Don't marry just to do it. Just enjoy life and if the right woman comes along...you'll know it.

This. I never wanted to marry. No desire to, then, for whatever reason, I met a woman at 37 and we are married after a year or so of dating. Yes she had kids and I got to know them, but when it's time, you'll know. Like I said I was perfectly fine being single forever. Now. I can't see my life without her or her family. It just fits

Do you really not want kids or have you not found a suitable mate? Having kids is one of the primal instincts in life.
