We had our youngest at 35 and I feel like a better father now than I was in my 20’s

You are older and wiser. Have more hard life lessons under your belt than when you were younger. Likely in a much better financial situation than in your 20s. Makes sense all of that would factor into you being a better father now.

Same here. In our 40’s youngest is 11, we could if we wanted to but don’t want to.
