Married with 2 kids checking in. There are days where sure I wish I could go do whatever the frick I wanted, but last Saturday for example seeing my still single friends still doing the same shite on st Patrick’s day we did when we were 18, I couldn’t still be doing that on a weekly basis now.

If hanging out around the house and playing soccer with my son on a Saturday is the trade off for a little less freedom, it’s a trade I’d willingly make every time.

This is becoming way more normal. I'm 35, never married, no kids, and have a active dating/sex life. I'd be miserable with had I ended up with anyone I dated long term. On top of that, those women would just be another bill. They had no goals or skills and thus no real future with me. Most of them have to rely on sex to get what they can't provide themselves. Dumbass men fall for that and get stuck.

Never as long as you're dating women within 10 years of your age

Get married when it's the right decision for you. People who get married just because they've dated someone for a certain length of time or, in this case, because of their own age are stupid. Nothing wrong with choosing carefully.

In this hypothetical, it's assumed that the single people have upped their recreational game considerably along with their income.

But yeah, anybody doing the same shite at 35 that they did at 18 is kind of pathetic, regardless of marital status.

I don't think I ever want to get married. I do what I want, I have time to stay in shape, get to spend my money on what I want, I don't have to worry about anyone depending on me and I can still get laid.

Why does it have to be creepy for a man to never be married? In my opinion, the baw is smart.

Never.

Marriage is for people who have truly found that one special person (which is rare) and complete idiots.

I almost don't see the point of marriage for most people. Just be together. You can exchange vows and rings if you really want, but I see no reason to bring the law into it

Living in Baton Rouge there’s not a whole lot of options. I’m sure they drink better bourbon and beer than they did then, but the places for the most part remain the same.

Louisiana dies have an obsession with drinking. Its lauded but people outside of the bubble see it for other reasons. One big reason, imo, is lack of dynamic lifestyles

I'm 40, single, never married but have a 15 yr old son. I've never been happier because I have money and my son and I do everything together.

This is a dumb topic, most people shouldn't get married, that's why divorce is so high. Guilt tripping these people into getting married just makes things worse, well unless you are a divorce lawyer.

Yep, the only reason to get married is if you want kids. Otherwise, I would stay single but got to be careful here in TX with the common law rules and don't ever move in with the girlfriend. I mean why would you want to risk possibly giving up half your shite.

However, you must date. Guys that aren't married and don't date are creepy or gay.
