but Wisconsin is the only state that allows parents/guardians to purchase alcohol for their children at bars or restaurants. Obviously this is assuming the parent/guardian is present.
This was in restaurants, I don't think bartenders would have let us in bars at 14-15 and let our parents or anyone else buy us alcohol and them allow us to sit there and drink. (besides the obvious HS hangout bars that we all partied at that catered to underage clientele).

19 for beer, 21 for liquor. Reason for 19 beer and not 18 is we can't have 18 year olds who are still in highschool buying beer.
It is a small compromise and allows college students and most military to start at 19.

I am amazed no one hasn't ever challenged this in court. It seems discriminatory that you can be legal as a adult at 18, but the only thing you can"t is legally buy and consume alcohol.
