When I was a drinker, Budweiser was my beer of choice.

Glad I'm out that life because solidarity would be tough.

I was also a drunk.

So. Yeah.

The above is is only correct outside the US. The justice department made AB divest them in the US due to antitrust concerns.
Divestment announced

Constellation portfolio

This is a perfect example of why Wiki shouldn’t be used as an authoritative source.

really has nothing to do with that specifically. It is about alienating your customer base and target demographic. The political nature of that will be irrelevant to business and marketing classes

At any other point in modern history I’d have agreed with you in a split second. Now I’m not so sure if it matters with how dogmatic colleges are.

This BL disaster will be talked about in business classes forever.

One hilarious part about it is that Coors and Miller have done pride stuff in the past as well.

It’s an interesting topic of discussion: evaluation of what made THIS event escalate the way it has

With all the business school talk I thought I'd throw in I was a finance major who graduated about 10 years ago and our classes were pretty much non partisan or leaned slightly conservative even

As I said that was also 10 years ago and at a school in the south....

really good point. in todays day in age once things gain a little momentum it spreads like wildfire. wonder how this one managed to take off the way it did.

all I know is that the other big beer marketing departments are thanking god it’s not them and will be walking on eggshells from here on out.

1. There's a difference between pride stuff and transsexual. Yes they are all lumped in together nowadays but until relatively recently pride just meant gay/lesbian to most people

2. The timing. This came at what is to this point the peak of the craze or however you want to describe it around trannies so that stoked the flames

FTR I think it's bullshite and AB should get to feel the pain of all this. This was dumb for a lot of reasons but a lot of these corporations who have done this are relatively difficult to take your business elsewhere. Walmart, Target, AT&T, streaming services, Amazon, etc. domestic light beer is incredibly easy just to grab a different 12 pack

Obviously a lot of people stopped drinking Bud Light from all the tranny drama, but I don't know anyone who has always drink Bud Light who stopped.

This past Saturday I had to go to an announcement party and I was talking with a few people, one who all they drink is Bud Light.. On a daily basis and someone asked him if he didn't protest bud light and he was like "I don't give a frick who they put in their commercials they can put.... (if I put what he actually said I would get banned). Why should I give a frick? And then as we were talking there was this older gentlemen who I didn't know at first and he joins the conversation and asked the details of the situation. He said he doesn't watch TV and he stopped reading the news. He was drinking Bud Light as well.. And the dude who said he didn't give a frick who they put in their commercial says "Bud Light made some tranny a face of their beer and people lost their minds. You should go buy stock in Anheuser-Busch because its going to go back up when people get mad and start banning other shite" and the old man looked confused as hell.

This reminded me of that, but I did buy stock in Anheuser-Busch before this past Saturday.

Chris, no one and i mean no one is surprised you’re all in now with Anheuser-Busch. You could’ve just said that instead of typing out that wall of text.

I wouldn’t take a bud light in this situation even prior to this whole ordeal. It’s not good beer. Honestly. Never liked it. This was the nail in the coffin for me.

For macro breweries in order:
Coors light
Miller light
Yuengling
Dos Equis
Coors original

The OLOM school fair was last weekend. They probably sold $50k in alcohol, and not a drop of bud light was included in that.

i was eating at a sports bar in alabama for draft night while out of town for work. I had a local beer first, and didnt' really care for it so asked for a coors next. they were out. so i got a miller lite. next time for a beer asked for a miller again and now they are out of miller lite. waiter looked at me grinning and said we got plenty of bud lite, but i doubt you want that.

bud light is fricking gross. I wouldn’t drink it before it catered to chicks with dicks.
