My opinion is that this shouldn’t be being framed as Travis Scott, specific demograph of the crowd, drugs, or any of that.

It’s an unruly crowd doing unruly things. This could have just as easily happened to an 100% white, college students at a Rage Against The Machine concert in 1994.

No, I'm not saying what happened entirely was normal obviously, just pointing out a random 1 or 2 guys a dude on stage sees EMS tending to, that is normal.

Yup 50k people will result in a couple dehydration cases, some fights, over intoxication, etc… just reality of big crowds, especially ones sitting out there all day long drinking in the sun

But he also said he could not have abruptly ended the show for fear of sparking a riot his department could not control.

I stand by my comments about how this current Administration has been detrimental to police forces and society as a whole, with the CNNs supporting it in every way.

Wasn't that the one where he stopped the show, and spent about 30 seconds pointing out to security or whoever where the guy was and kept saying to get him help?

Correct. There's video of him stopping down and even his auto tune turns off for at least a minute while he directs help to the area where the kid was crowd surfed out. He does slowly begin again after the boy was cleared to the side.

Having some drugs in a system coupled with nut to butt conditions would be iffy, for sure.

I've been in a pretty crazy crowd like this in 87. Cinderella/Bon Jovi at Hirsch in Shreveport. Was just a case of the entire floor being open all the way to the stage. When BJ came on, the stands started coming onto the floor. I remember it being really tight to the point when the pushing sway effect started, my feet would lift off the ground and I was suspended between people around me. We all were.

If a person were to fall beneath me (or anywhere) it would've been almost impossible to be able to push away a space big enough to help them up. And you can't hear screams for sure.

Like I posted yesterday, there was an article that talked about the police investigating people being stuck with syringes. Seems really far fetched but whatever I guess.

I am out of touch with today’s music. If you would have told me a week ago that someone called “Travis Scott” was performing a concert in Texas I would have bet my left nut it was a country singer.

Next thing you know DJ Ruff Balls will be performing his “down on the farm” banjo laden county hits in Times Square.

Not sure why I keep getting downvoted:

"In a press conference, Houston PD's Chief Troy Finner explained that the investigation that also left an estimated 300 attendees injured "is now a criminal investigation that is going to involve our homicide division as well as narcotics." He says a security guard working the event was stuck with a needle while trying to restrain someone else.

"He was reaching over to restrain or grab a citizen and he felt a prick in his neck," Finner said. The guard was given Narcan. Medical personnel who aided the guard confirmed seeing a mark on the guard's neck that appeared to be a puncture wound from the needle.

Finner says multiple injuries were the result of being trampled in the stampede, hinting at a mixture of injuries from possibly being injected with something and others being hurt due to the surge. There are several videos floating around that chronicled the mayhem and confusion that ensued. The remainder of the festival is reportedly canceled."

Well actually...one of the biggest country hits of the past couple of years was performed by Lil Nas X

Reading first hand accounts, there was definitely 100% crush going on, and sounds like most of these deaths were from up front where that was going on the worst

Sounds exactly what an opioid addicted security guard who likely got piss tested would say in this situation. I’m sure some nefarious individual smuggled in an opioid to inject a security guard, and not imject himself or sell it for profit. The fact that the police chief is buying the guard’s story shows a lack of basic common sense.

My daughter turned down a free ticket, thank God. The girl interviewed on the news was the girl who offered her the ticket.

Or willingness to distract from things getting out of his control.

Who knows. That’s a very weird piece to the story.

Whole footage of travis scott’s set

you can see at 4:26 the waves of people. pretty terrifying.

idk if i buy any of the satanic ritual bullshite, but i can see where they’re coming from with all the imagery and symbolism. whole thing just seems eerie as frick, like a final destination movie.

again, not buying into it. but pretty fricking creepy nonetheless.

Didn't know the neck was an addict's injection site of choice.

I'm way more inclined to believe some a-hole was sticking people, than some guy was shooting himself up in the neck.

Being in a mob tends to be dehumanizing at times, you can do things you won't get caught for. Some get caught up in the thrill of it.
If you're already a little on the sociopathic side, that's just the ticket to go way apeshit.
