It either had to happen to you personally or someone you know really well.
Me personally, I once said hello to Keith Carradine at a hotel and he looked at me like I was the scum of the earth. I didn’t even ask for an autograph. I asked what brought him to Shreveport. I guess that was very offensive. This was probably 30 years ago.
Another glorious encounter happened to a very good friend of mine. While trying to make it in Los Angeles back in the 80’s he waited tables at a restaurant there in L.A.
Management told the staff if they got screwed out of a tip they were allowed to to ask the customer if there was a problem.
He waited on Diana Ross one night and as she was leaving he noticed she had not left a tip. He followed her right outside the restaurant and asked very respectfully if there was something wrong with the service he provided.
She opened her purse. Pulled out a one dollar bill, wadded it up and threw it at him and said, “Here’s your fricking tip.”

As someone that waited tables in my college years, yeah it sucks when you get stiffed on a tip but my experience has been for every low or non tip you get, you also have people that tip well over the standard amount. So at the end of a shift it usually balanced itself out. It bothers me seeing servers post receipts and try to call people out on social media for not tipping when I never see them post receipts for people that leave awesome tips.
Your friend shouldn't have followed her out of the store, just let it go and move on to the next table. I would have probably gotten fired for following a customer out of the store just because of a tip.

Tim Duncan. Saw him walking around the hotel I was staying when I was 12. Told him hello and asked for an autograph just blew right by me.

Ran into Emmitt Smith at a bar, he was with buddies. One of my friends said "Go Cowboys, big fan of yours Emmitt" or something like that and he flat stared at him and said "leave me the frick alone" and had a bouncer say something to us.
It was really bizarre. Total a-hole.

I’ll tell you who isn’t.
The Rock, at least not during his wwf days. I worked at elmwood fitness center in the early 2000s. We had a special needs guy who did laundry and was the biggest wrestling fan ever. Nice kid but he was A LOT if you are in a hurry (loud, talks your ear off, moody).
The rock came into the locker room after working out (they had a show in NOLA). And the guy just immediately gets super excited and starts spouting off catchphrases. Rock basically treated the guy like he was family and even went and got Kane and Edge to come back in the locker room as well to meet him.
There were no cameras and nobody else really around. Just made this kid’s year for no other reason than he was a fan.

18 hole @ TPC of Louisiana, Bubba Watson is on the tee box. I am up on the rope about to watch the scumbag pull one in the water and a kid is trying to squeeze in next to us so I let him through. "You can stand here little man".
Bubba is at address and the kid drops his bag of chips. The wind catches it and just as Bubba starts his backswing the kid ducks under the rope and goes out to grab the bag.
Bubba indeed hits a crappy shot, walks to the rope looks me in the eye and says "Next time keep your fricking kids in line a-hole" to which I replied "frick you Bubba" which is one of the single greatest sentences I've ever spoken.
Bubba is at address and the kid drops his bag of chips. The wind catches it and just as Bubba starts his backswing the kid ducks under the rope and goes out to grab the bag.

I interacted with Jake Gyllenhall once. He was filming a movie in town and wanted to stay hidden so he decided to come into the grocery store in full sweatshirt and hood in the middle of July fake talking on a cellphone

Once had the choice to try to remove Jeff monson or a 6ft 8 retarded guy from a bar.
I chose monson.
He didn't kill me.
He randomly comes into the gym the next day where I'm watching a buddy prep for a fight and spar. Calmy walks over and apologizes for the previous night.

Good to hear. That's how I imagined Shaq to be.
As a kid, I found my way to Bob Hope's dressing room when he performed at Auburn. When he came out, I asked him for an autograph. He refused. I guess he saw how disappointed I was because he asked me and my friend to walk with him to where he was to wait to be introduced. We stood there for about five minutes, told us how nervous he was, and ran several jokes by us, "to see if they were any good." So we basically got a personal five-minute show. Would have lost the autograph anyway.
