Try Lane.

LOL - I have cloth furniture covers - I don’t like to stick to my furniture
I’d take a pic but my 5 year old has placed most of her unicorn collection on the sofa so you can’t see it anyway

I like our La-Z-Boy rocker/recliners a whole lot. They’ve held up well over the last 5-6 years, and I sit in mine every day. We had a sectional that I really liked but the wife did not once it was delivered (loved it, HAD TO HAVE IT in the store
) and we have club chairs that are probably 10 years old and have held up well. I think overall it’s worth the purchase price.
Side note- I heard that La-Z-Boy was about 90+ days out on some orders- they cut staff in the factory due to covid and realized the extra delay didn’t affect their sales, so they just rolled with it.

We ordered 2 recliners from the LC store in January and they won’t be ready until June so I hope you aren’t in a rush.

I can feel my skin sticking to that just by looking at the picture.

We love our LazBoy. It was also 20 weeks out for delivery when we order in October. So if the wait is worth it for you, you’ll be happy.

LaZBoy is the most comfortable, durable furniture we’ve owned. Also made in USA.

My grandfather had an orange vinyl couch that was in 3 pieces. I can still hear the sound of people peeling themselves off of it

It will always be overpriced. Furniture is more over priced than most mattresses. So good luck. We got out couch set from some liquidator thingy and paid a decent price and it works perfect. No need to spend 4k on a fricking couch. My recliner was 350 and it is comfortable as shite.

Lazyboy is low quality furniture. If you want something nice go with Hancock and Moore for Leather or Taylor King for fabric. Bradington Young and Classic Leather also have some nice offerings.
West Elm and pottery barn were brought up, they are lifestyle brands and sell low to mid quality furniture at high quality prices.
For case goods I have found the best bang for the buck is buying mid century to pre 2000 items used, they are built better with better wood than most modern furniture and they aren't old enough to demand high prices for the most part.

This all seems very nice but not practical. It looks like you’d have to require a stick up your arse to own it.

Uterus is still in tact and working!
Sorry I like to have sex with my husband.

we’ve been married for almost 19 years - at least I don’t have a tv show on TLC
Or maybe I should let my husband sleep on the super comfy la z boy sofas once in a while

La-Z-Boy is good, Flexsteel is better.
I had a couple furniture salespeople tell me to spend my money on wood like Kitchen Tables, Chairs, End Tables, Armoirs...... spend less on fabric, sofa, love seats.

Flexsteel is good stuff. Very durable and built well.
La-Z-Boy is pretty good too. If I remember correctly they have a wooden seat box, where flexsteel has a steel seat box. If you’re comparing base model to base model then Flexsteel is the better product.
Lane makes a solid product. Ashley gets a shite reputation, but most people by their base level stuff and get pissed when it doesn’t last. Ashley has some pretty decent upper end stuff. But, I’d go with Flexsteel if you want a motion set.
Unless you’re buying an in-stock item, expect delays up to 6 months. There are supply chain issues across the entire industry. Everything from steel to foam is hard to come by. Hell, shipping containers are hard to come by. Also, the markup these days is anywhere from 100% to 250%. I haven’t seen 400% in years.

Quality furniture = Stick up arse???
The street price of H&M is typically 50% of retail which makes it not much more expensive than the lifestyle brands but much higher quality. You can actually get some full grain leather options in the $2500 range that are nice mid century to modern designs if you use the promotional leathers, Hancock and Moore promotional leathers are better than ANYTHING Lazyboy offers.

La-Z-Boy. I only have experience with the recliners. Recently retired one, still have 6. Some leather, some cloth and one really old vinyl covered one.
I put the vinyl one in my Carolina Skiff for my Dad to sit in when he had trouble getting around. We would go jug line fishing.
