No one should ever trust tornado sirens as the end all be all for warnings

Not to defend this person but bad weather was rolling through. Everyone knew that would happen days in advance. You don't need the government to hold your hand every step of the way
Then we should pull their funding and save the taxpayers some money.

the public deserves to know what the training was for..
Was it how to better respond to weather emergencies OR
Was it a diversity and inclusion training?
It was a Friday afternoon after 4 with city employees.

Happened in Hinds County a dozen years ago. Tornados came through one afternoon. EOC director was out drunk somewhere, never showed up. Fortunately had a capable second who took care of business.

There is an easy solution to this.......get rid of outdoor sirens.
ETA: To clarify: If, in the year 2025, you are still relying on outdoor tornado sirens to get warning you are doing it wrong. You are making a very poor decision by picking the most unreliable of many options to give you advanced warning and keep you safe.
DO NOT RELY ON OUTDOOR TORNADO SIRENS FOR ADVANDED WARNING.

When are we as a society going to stop letting women do men’s jobs?

I just want to note that this person filming had advanced warning, but still chose to stay on the top floor of an apartment complex, stand at the window, and film as the roof was taken off of an adjacent building.
Don't be this person.
Or, if you are going to be this person at least don't send the video to your mom and have her give it away for free on Xwitter. Try to make yourself some money off that footage and make your stupidity pay off a bit.

I would have St Louis would have some automated process that a person can override one way or the other.
Did they have one but it went off too easily and people complained?

DEI has ZERO to do with being incompetent. Maybe you should actually read up on what it really is and what it was known as before it was called DEI before uttering lies. But I guess it's so easy to repeat a juicy lie than the truth for some of you. Man there are so many idiots in this country. Think for yourselves.
