as I was in my younger days. Truly doesn't matter to me since I am on the backside of my career.

Just curious.

Do you consider your dentist a "doctor", or he is simply "your dentist" ???

I consider dentists as doctors as the have achieved/received a doctorate of dental sciences. They can prescribe medications. And if I’m writing one a letter or email I’m addressing them as Dr.

But if someone gets shot or has a heart attack, I’m still calling 911

I call him Dr. Whatever but in my mind he's a dentist. Not just a dentist, but a dentist.

IF I cut my finger off, it isn't even entering my mind to run to his house first.

Dentist is a Doctor.

Chiropractor is a pretend doctor.

Doesn't matter what he is. Doc, Dentist, Master of Teeth, Massager of Mandibles. Only matters if he can spell "sensitive."

I have two uncles who are twins, one is a a FP MD and the other is a DDS.

They were always both “Docs” to me for as long as I can remember.

One of my best friends is a DDS, I introduce him as “Doctor _____” in a social setting.

You’re a Doc to me.

Thanks for your service, I hope no one bit you.

Never thought about it. My dentist gets high and listens to classic rock, so I call him Bro.
