Multi-year low oil prices with plans to ramp up production even more. What could possibly go wrong for the O&G industry in that type of economic environment?

You have NOCs like ADNOC and KOC who have embarked on very aggressive drilling campaigns recently. All signs point to a glut in oil supplies soon which upstream indicators in the US and Mexico seem to support. I wouldn't expect US companies to engage in big drilling projects and PEMEX have already confirmed their drilling program in 2025 will be drastically reduced.

No, he’s not. He’s a wannabe and writes his shows like it. He’s close enough to the action to think he’s in the action.

I mean....he's got to put in some over-dramatization in his shows to make it more entertaining for the TV viewer. I've still enjoyed Landman thus far, Tulsa King and Yellowstone (though glad it's finally over).

I did listen in on a call a few weeks back with the Director or President of API, and he did say that he planned to sit down with Sheridan regarding some of the Landman scenes where there's obvious stuff going on that wouldn't be allowed by any legitimate O&G companies in today's environment. I laughed at that initially, but can also understand why there would be that sensitivity.

The O&G Industry has been able to rise into a more positive light overall than say...a decade ago when it seemed the enviro-communists were controlling the narrative. Kind of don't want some idiot up in Oregon blabbering "See! That's how rouge and horrible that industry is down there!"

I sort of miss the days of everyone lighting their tap water on fire.

That's the fluoride in it, but don't worry RFK is going to fix that.

Thanks Joe Biden.

That's not because of Biden, its what the O&G industry was able to accomplish in spite of Biden.

God give me one more oil boom and I promise I wont piss it away this time.

This is the time when it’s best to pull back on oil and gas investments. They’ll overproduce themselves in a surplus or the Saudis might make it just like 2016 all over again. It really is starting to feel like 2016-2019 all over again.

Is this not evidence?

No, it isn't. There is no drilling in those areas right now as it is prohibited by the states at issue. This is an executive order to prohibit what is already prohibited and it will have no impact whatsoever on current or future levels of production.

During the present administration, each year the US is setting records for total production. The hope is that Trump won't screw it up like he did last time he was in office, when he convinced the Saudis to dump a huge increase in production into the market, thereby crashing prices and driving US production to bankruptcy.

Hopefully Trump learned something last time.
