My prediction:

SFC Pentland's military career is over. His chain of command will act with alacrity to separate him from military service.

So the black kid had groped two women previous to the video? WTF? In the back of my head I kind of figured that something HAD to have led up to it.

If that is true, then that changes everything.

And will be vindicated after the fact. Which will not save his career. Several articles cover conduct unbecoming.

Well the outage mob was in effect within 24 hours, so the truth needed to come out during the video.

It isn't true. Just lies to spin the story. I mean they initially said he was stealing cameras and looking into houses.

Next we will hear the kid is actually a 45 year old rapist.

Lies and lies

Ummm, this is a big NOPE. Originally it was this mostly peaceful black guy was minding his own business when the bald white supremacist assaulted him for no reason.

Once again, mob rule is not what this country is founded on. Let the facts come out before reacting. I mean would we had months of rioting costing in excess of $2B had the facts about George Floyd’s death come out?

He's going to be convicted in civilian criminal court of Battery.

Even if he is eligible for Active Duty Retirement, he will not retire at E7, he will be reduced in rank, perhaps even down to E4.

Also, I doubt that his wife will be able to maintain her civilian job. I'll bet that she loses her job, too.

Sadly, this family is about to be CRUSHED.

According to the sheriff’s department, deputies had received two previous reports of incidents involving the victim and people in Pentland’s neighborhood, but he was not charged, and the department said the other incidents didn’t justify Pentland’s actions.

So the sheriff’s department is lying about the previous incidents?

Army guy definitely overreacted, but there is clearly more to this story than just the video.

You can generally tell when someone lives in the area or not. Someone who does is usually moving with a purpose. The ones to watch are the ones who just meander along, going nowhere in particular, just checking everything out.

The goal is to put those people on notice they are being watched without escalating things. I've done that a few times. I just walk up slowly to them, half smile on my face, and politely ask if they need help finding anything. No threatening gestures. No tough guy crap.

I just politely explain we try to keep up with everything on the street because you can't be too careful. Never had an issue. The idea isn't to confront or take down, it is to let them know you are aware of them in case they are up to no good. IF they say they are going to so and so's house, I nicely apologize and explain we just look out for each other in the hood.

Yep. It’s totally normal and reasonable IMO to have concerns/questions about an unfamiliar face in a neighborhood that isn’t clearly exercising or walking a dog or child. Regular people don’t meander through suburban neighborhoods.

Yes, absolutely.

The Antifa terrorists had been planning riots for months, just looking for an excuse. Originally they planned to protest the DNC when Bernie didn't win. George FLoyd gave them the perfect excuse for BLM & outraged white liberals everywhere to jump in.

Any excuse would have done.

I don’t mean that as a shot to SC. You could substitute any state.

It's really hard to discern what actually happened prior to the video because people both there and not there inject their own biases into it. From what I've read, a girl's mother accused him of sexually assaulting her daughter. There was someone else interviewed that said the mother(not that it matters, but she is white) didn't like her daughter hanging out with the guy, but the extent of their relationship seems to only be them walking their dogs together. Anyway, the mom saw them walking together, flipped out, started screaming for help, and that's when Pentalnd showed up, who is friends with the mom's husband. It seems to me Pentland was dragged into a situation he should have stayed out of, but I guess it's hard to blame him when there's a sexual assault allegation and it's your friend's wife making that accusation.

I realize all of that could also be BS. I don't think Pentland acted out of racial malice, but some of his word choices in that video carry some racial connotations with them. Even still, he was probably fine from a legal sense until he shoved the guy.
