Army Drill Sgt, Ft. Benning, suspended for punching recruit - video

Apparently the recruit dropped the N Bomb on the Drill Sergeant. Not sure what the hell he was thinking.
ETA. The OT is of the opinion the guy dropping the slur is black and therefore somehow OK with it. I didn't think he was necessarily black and, frankly, didn't even look. I was just amazed that a recruit talked back to a DI and that was the intent of the post. I honestly wasn't focused on the racial issue and didn't put it in the title. I did mention it above since it is what started the confrontation.

It’s a hold over platoon. For various reasons these people have been held over after basic. Could be as simple as waiting on orders. That’s way he has a cell phone

When I was in basic training, one of our drill sergeants got suspended. If you fell asleep he would put you in the chinese thinking position and put sticks, ink pens or whatever he could find, under your elbows. A guy fell asleep and got put in the chinese thinking position and chipped a bone in his elbow. Drill sergeant was back within a few days.
