re: Armed Robbery in Riverbend

I loathe Thugs and their culture and this is why. All I hear about is abuse by whitey, profiling, non inclusion, and lack of diversity. Hell, we let them into our once thriving neighborhood schools and 50 year later these schools are shite and the places we all grew up in are shite now too. Good thing Riverbend doesn't have a public school where all the kids in the neighborhood attend or it would be forced to go down the same road as Lee, Tara, Belaire, Baker etc.

so these two suspects robbed the guy's store then went to his house? Any chance the victim was involved with the perps? drug deal? money laundering?

You could be right, there's so many different stories going around the neighborhood. I got word that they caught the 2nd suspect around 9:00 am. When going to brunch with the family around 10:30 there were cops all over Tigerland area. I later heard there was a 3rd suspect. I'm no cop or involved in any way, so please don't take this as fact.

As far as putting up a gate, I'm not sure what the law is around this, but I live in the gated part of Riverbend. It's towards the back of the neighborhood and was added on to the main boulevard so this may be why we are able to have a gated entrance here.

Is there no news story about this?

Can't be gated, they would then be responsible for maintenance of roads and utilities I believe

We discussed gating our subdivision recently

So they've robbed the business, then went after the proprietor's home? and roughed up the teen age daughter?

Sounds like she may have bragged to the wrong "friend" about what's in the folger's can in the pantry or something.
