So it CAN be gated if the residents take over road maintenance. Utility maintenance would not be their responsibility unless they started their own utility company and stopped being charged by Entergy/AT&T/Cox/Demco/ect

She said they told her son, “If you guys don’t turn out the money, it’s going to get ugly over here.”
But the men backed out of the house with their guns cocked and fled as the police arrived.
Ahmed said there was no money in her safe or her purse, and she thinks that was what they were looking for.
She plans on moving out of her house not for the neighborhood but for the bad memories.
Ahmed said she now has security protection at her home, including guns, alarms, private security and police patrols.
The single mother said she has raised her children alone since 2011.

Sounds like they tend to keep large amounts of cash in the house and the wrong person found out about it

Like someone said earlier. Sounded like they thought she just moved all the money to her house from the register or have all kinds of cash from her leasing the store. As if a bank does not exist. I'm very surprised she did not have an alarm though.
