Are you working your dream job, working somewhere you want to, or just got bills to pay?

Another curious question type of thread. How many OTers out there are working their dream job or working somewhere they want to work or just working somewhere because they have bills to pay.

Currently i'm the later but like i said, got bills to pay. Still young and will probably move around eventually but for now, need food on the table.

And if you are the second or later, for how long have you been there and would you leave if you could?

My current job allows me to hunt practically as much as I want to and have enough money to do and buy the things I want.

It is definitely not my dream job, and it's not personallu satisfying at most times, but I get to do the things I love outside of work

I like what I do and where I work at. But ultimately it's still about the paycheck.

I'm at the top end of the "eh, it's a job scale."

I don't love what I do, and I work to live, not vice versa. I'm nonchalant about going to work, but I don't look forward to it. But all that said, I'm doing it in a good environment with people I like/respect and it's good for me professionally and financially.

I impressed the assistant manager with my personable interaction with customers in the drive thru this past weekend. I figured by December I should be managing this place, then I can buy those yeezy's and get all the bitches.

I absolutely loved being a military cop. I got paid to work out, shoot guns and smack around drunk soldiers. I mean come on..

Then later on I became a criminal investigator in the Army, I mean I still loved the job, still got lots of time to work out and practice my shooting, and actually got to travel quite a bit on that job as well, but overall I think I enjoyed the MP phase of my life more.

I had the dream job and gave it up cause it didn't pay shite. Now I do something I like a lot less but get paid a good bit more.

I like the work I do not so much the environment. I'm very much needed so I have great security. Can't complain too much but hope to own my own business soon. Can't beat working for yourself.

but i'm the boss, i come and go as i please, work does not come home with me, the profits are mine (and my employees'), and i can shut it down whenever i want to

all in all, not a bad place to be in

I think anything that is something you have to do turns out to not be fun . Like me I run coiled tubing for a living , very boring but easy work . Pay is great but I'm never home to see the family . So I'm just paying bills

Dream job.
Occasionally nightmarish but closer to a sweet dream most of the time.

Not my dream job. But it's very laid back and pays the bills. Plus, I really enjoy the group of people I work with.

I love my job, people are usually nice and I really like rollerblading and the occasional fight in the parking lot

Did have dream job. Wasn't getting paid enough. Now working because I get bored sometimes, and like to be currently employed when handing out resumes. If I don't feel like working, I don't. Means to an end
