I admit, sometimes I lose sleep over the thought of someone invading my home. I have home defense and a plan but the thought is bothersom every now and then. I check the doors and nobody's there. What a terrible feeling.

I've got a M&P .40 and a 12 gauge at the house. While it would be a terrifying feeling to have someone break into your home, they provide some sense of comfort and security.

Also, I live in Nashville in a good area, so there is basically zero crime. We leave our doors unlocked all the time.

But we are moving to an "up and coming" area, which is a nice way of saying we're one of those people helping gentrify the hood. I will be purchasing a fire arm and installing a very good alarm system with cameras.

Is that flea market better than the one in Mobile? The Mobile one is freaking huge. I've been to flea markets here in Jackson and they don't even compare.

Had a ding dong ditcher a couple of months ago at 3 AM. Kept a bat beside the bed, I'm creeping up to the front door (all lights still off) with this bat and I get about halfway there and think "Da fuq am I gonna do with this shite? This is stupid!"

12 gauge was in the house the next day and I've added a G22 to the whip. Just built an AR. Best ding dong ditcher ever.

2007 double murder at the Edward Gay apartments ring a bell?

If you're talking about the murder where one guy was shot at the door and no one heard it. And the other guy was tied up for two hours only to be shot, feel free to blame that on the local criminal element.

You don't tie someone up and hang out for two hours unless you have questions.

No. I keep my gun in my night stand and I have pulled it before when I thought the house was being burglarized. I would cap a muhfricka

Everyone in my home has access to several guns and knows how to use them. I feel scared for the person who breaks in.

After I was robbed and nearly shot to death at my house off Bluebonnet and Perkins I was scared shitless for about 3 months. This group of four thugs were roaming around the neighborhood at 7:30pm knocking on doors trying to commit a home invasion. I just happen to be the lucky bastard who pulled up into his garage and they jumped me. I tossed my wallet and ran and they still shot at me. This was in nice a gated townhome community. After I installed some security devices and bought a couple new guns I started to feel more comfortable but that heightened sense of awareness never goes away.
