If things go well I'll be in a couple years.

In reality, not enough for the onslaught of my wife's never ending purchases

Yeah I sure am. Grew up in a 1 bathroom house to parents that survived. Put myself thought associates, bachelors, and masters programs, but I’m offshore truck nut to the bone. Broke the 7 figure mark in net worth recently. Never would’ve thought it in my lifetime.
And most importantly, we’re all healthy

I'm richer than the kings of old.
Wrote this a while back. It helps me to keep perspective.
Kings of Old
The kings of old, in castles grand,
Would shiver in the night,
A poor man, I, in humble home,
Just flick a switch for light,
I press a little button,
And the furnace roars with heat,
I plug a warming blanket in,
That king, I’ve got him beat,
The kings of old, in grand châteaus,
A fortune spent on spice,
I buy it at the grocery store,
A pittance is the price,
For foreign fruits, their servants sent,
To distant, far off lands,
And I can get, a better spread,
Down at the produce stand,
The kings of old, in summer heat,
Would sweat incessantly,
Yet I can fill a cup with ice,
And turn on the AC,
Though little more than pauper,
I possess a wealth untold,
My luxuries they rival,
Even that, of Kings of Old

Far from it. I was born with nothing, and have managed to hang on to most of it…

Not "rich", but we'll off enough that I dont care about money. I don't check my credit card balance, I just pay it off on the 2nd of every month. I never check my checking account balance.
My wife won $10k at the casino this past weekend and I really didn't even give a shite. I was more worried about getting home to feed the cattle.

I do not consider myself rich. My mother thinks I am, though.
The only reason I have any desire for wealth is to live life with a high degree of freedom and comfort, with a feeling of security that no life event is likely to take that away from me for long, except of course those things I can't control. By that standard, I am wealthy.

By Ugandan standards, I’m filthy rich.

I once was rich.
I lived with my grandparents and played WoW all day. I ran the auction houses.
