Op's question is whether you feel "uneasy" being in public.

My answer is NO

But there's a difference between "living in fear" and "being alert"... I am decidedly more alert than I was prior to the violence

where you been? if you havent been doing this before recent events then consider yourself lucky. The only thing i can think of that puts me in harms way is that i walk my dog early in the mornings before i go to work. If it wasnt a nice neighborhood then i probably wouldnt even do that. Heck i'll even turn the dog and myself around if i see somebody slowing down up ahead down the road .

Uneasy? No. More aware and prepared? Yes.

Wouldn't describe it as fear but definitely in a state of increased awareness of my surroundings at work this morning. Granted I work at a very large place with lots of foot traffic in/out all day.

i feel like i normally pay some attention, but not out of irrational fear or worry... just to be aware of my surroundings, good or bad.

they are Pagans. I don't know much about the clubs. Most of them are pretty rough looking.

I had to pick up some samples this morning and before I shipped them to the lab, I had to ice them down. I stopped at a somewhat ghetto gas station and was filling up the ice chest and I notice a young, black male with dreads walking towards me. I immediately think "oh boy here we go, he just needs $20 for gas or something"

But instead, he walks up says "sorry to bother you man, but I wanted to tell you to have a blessed day and that I hope your day if full of joy. God bless" and he walks away

That is my CSB for the day

I agree. This could make Chicago 68 look like a walk in the park.

They'll be on high alert for sure. The guys I know who are going are coming down from Michigan. There may be some guys coming in from Minnesota as well.
