Just a shower thought/something I noticed.

Having grown up around dudes, they seem more down to earth being around them.

Like I feel like I’ve had a conversation multiple times when I thought I committed some infraction and the response always is “oh, that’s fine, my brother does that,” like if I leave the toilet seat up or something

There's no correlation. The crazy is random and nearly universal. The chicks with decent relationships with their fathers and brothers are slightly less likely to be crazy.

I've always thought that girls who grew up with brothers and moms with multiple sons seem to be a lot easier going in general.

Probably somewhat. I also think the opposite is true as well. Men who have sisters are probably a little less shocked when they move in with a woman.

I think it's more about strong male family member role models than necessarily brothers.

I mean, how often do we see people talk about girls with daddy issues on here?

Humans in general tend to do better when they have a positive version of as many archetypes around during early years as possible. A kid who had a good relationship with both mom and dad, and siblings of both genders will have more experience and practice interacting with a greater spread of people.

Conversely, people from the walks of life you never see are difficult to understand, and the possibility of misunderstanding increases dramatically; AKA: that's when the crazy pops up.

My SO has a twin brother, which comes in handy. He's a perfect mediator for any domestic debates we might have.

When you first start dating a woman, pay a lot of attention to her family structure the first 4 months, ask her questions about it. If she doesn't have a strong family structure (mom and dad who are involved) then run away before the 6 month mark. I started doing this in my late twenties and it really saved me a lot of time.

I now realize I've never dated a woman with brothers, and the lack of tolerance for gross male behavior has been the downfall of a few relationships.

So if someone’s parents died or are drug addicts it’s their fault? I’ve dated great guys with a hole parents. It’s not their fault.

My wife didn't have any brothers and I lived from about the age of 10 and up in a bachelor pad with a single dad. She says that's the reason I'm untrainable
