No doubt there will be some sort of adverse affects but I would bet that those side affects are a lot better than the adverse affects of obesity

Alcohol actually replaces cravings for sugar and junk food.

That was the exact thing my doctor told me when I expressed uncertainty about the meds.

These drugs also aren’t without their know side effects and issues already. They can wreak havoc on the gallbladder and frequently cause IBS-C in patients.

Obesity is usually a symptom of either addiction, trauma, or mental illness.

Ozempic does not address those issues.

I thought there were some studies that some of these GLP-1 drugs have been proven to be really effective at curbing addiction

That was my take on it. I contemplated doing it for a year. Finally I decided to try when my doctor told me my bloodwork has me sitting just below pre-diabetic. I did not want to get in that category, even though I work out 3 times a week and am overall active in my kids sports and general chores.

Sometimes the risk of doing nothing is worse than the risk of doing something.

My employee is on Mounjaro. He lost 9 lbs in a week. Losing that amount of weight all at once seems unhealthy to me. I am on Wagovy.

I plan to get off of it within the next year and see if I can maintain weight.

Whatever your "set point" is, your body will always gravitate to that weight unless you change your diet for life. Any weight loss med is just a quick fix.

Correct diet, lots of rest and exercise is a permanent fix.

There are over a dozen GLP ones in testing right now

The newer generations will be much better with muscle retention

Plus, they are now prescribing them with other peptides for strength and muscle. They are also showing positive things for dementia and Alzheimer’s.

My wife is down 100 pounds since her height after pregnancy. I’m down 40 pounds. We have both been taking Zepbound. She’s been on it longer than I have. I take a higher dose than her and it seems to affect us differently. We both feel better and look better and have zero regrets. I would recommend it to anyone struggling with food addiction.

whats crazy is , these 2 meds above are listed as a potential threat in many prescribed meds especially in newer fda approved meds. Dangerous stuff.

I am seeing that people are now taking a weekly dose indefinitely to hold weight down. Don't need know if this is bad. I know with type 2 patients it helps so why not non diabetic folks?

They should make weight loss in a pill for life like a BP pill.

Go speed a couple of weeks in the UK and you'll understand how terrible our food supply is. Everything is packed with sugar here.

We have every option here. You don’t have to eat that shite. Poor and middle income people eat trash by choice. That is undeniable fact. And our moron government allows these corporate whores to put whatever they want in the trash.

Cook your own meals and it’s quite easy to eat very healthy in the United States.

You don’t have to consume some type of alcohol or pills to sustain life either

Go take 3 pain pills and aye but no more and let me know how you do
