I goggled to see what you were talking about.

This "brake tags" shite is undoubtedly the dumbest thing I have ever seen.

Just phased them out in Texas. You still have to get an inspection before you can re-new your registration.

Is it a fricking brake tag or an inspection sticker? SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE A DEFINITIVE DECISION.

I want them to go away so the debate can stop

Almost every other state gets by just fine without them.

Cool.

We don't serve cheese at my restaurant anymore, but you still have to put Parmesean on your chicken.

we abolished the safety inspection program here in MS a couple of years ago and no one has missed it one bit. that shite was an absolute waste of time.

now, the police officers issue tickets for safety violations on Friday nights for things like lights out, cracked windshields, etc. if you get the vehicle up to snuff during the weekend, they will change the ticket to a warning on Monday.

Stonewall is up there in South Arkansas if I remember right. They have inspection stickers, won't affect us down in Louisiana and out brake tags.

Not often I'm proud of Ms but I was when we abolished that shite a couple years ago. God what a racket.

for inspection stickers to work, they need to have more inspection sticker checkpoints

that way when people fail or dont bring their car in because they know it will fail, they'll get arrested before they get on the mississippi river bridge

Obviously you don't live in NOLA, it is basically an annually check that you have:

-a valid driver's license
-car insurance
-car registration (not a stolen car)
- and your vehicle has brakes

Man you guys have a lot of unnecessary government involvement in Louisiana. Between brake tags and license requirements for such jobs as florists, California ALMOST seems small government by comparison. .
