I like the idea of inspection stickers. Too many people with broken shite/ no insurance. It's $10 and ten minutes a year. Not a big deal.

you guys have a lot of unnecessary government involvement in Louisiana. Between brake tags and license requirements for such jobs as florists, California ALMOST seems small government by comparison.
We have more licensed professions than any other state.

New Orleans actually does have different inspection stickers. (I don't know that the stickers look different, but they are administered differently.) NOLA is special.

Well, obviously that doesn't work.

Therefore, get rid of them.

Looks like the people issuing the "brake tags" get the most out of it. No wonder most just collect the money and replace sticker. More cars, more money.
"Rules vary among some parishes and cities , but state law requires inspections to be done at least every other year. The $10 state inspection fee is required to be paid annually and is divvied out three ways: $4.75 goes to state-certified stations that perform the inspections; $4 goes to Louisiana State Police; and the remaining $1.25 goes to the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles."

I want to hear more about how inspection stickers, or "brake tags," are administered different in NOLA than the rest of the state. Please elaborate.
