I have argued with Russians before about how corrupt Russia is, and they always had examples of the U.S. doing very similar things. And all I could do was be like damn... maybe we aren't as ethical as I thought.
Russia is still worse in that regard, but it really did make me kind of re-evaluate.

I think so. What’s more disheartening is that what we know is just the surface level stuff. There is no telling what happens that we don’t know about.

Ha!!! ..this has nothing to do with party.. .. we are terminally corrupt...we're Roman Empire corrupt.. It's come to the point an honest man can only hope to earn a mere living... corruption offers the magnificent life that "our" dreams are made of. Consumerism has corrupted the American soul. If anyone here thinks things will get better...well, the ONLY way this freight train that diseases us can be turned around is if we, as an ENTIRE nation can wake up.. and somehow adopt a unified spirit of "what can I give"... rather than, "what can I get". Tough row....
