Pretty much every addiction, rehab, and drug intervention specialist don't want it legalized because it opens the door for people to become numb to drug use and try harder drugs quicker. On one hand I think it should be legalized but when you talk to people who have gone through heroin or opiate addiction and fought through recovery they do have a point on why it should be illegal.

Milk leads to drug use. Everyone that's ever used drugs started with milk.

I practiced criminal defense for years. I only came across a handful of people who I know for sure oppose MJ. The vast majority of judges, cops, prosecutors know MJ should be legalized.

Junkies are a PITA. They’re the reason for so much crime and the crackdown on painkillers and the opioid epidemic. They just have zero willpower and nothing else to look forward to in their lives, so spend all day trying to get high. It’s perfectly possible to have a low dose of painkiller in the evening and not be hooked, it just takes willpower. Just like having a glass of bourbon. But no, the junkies can’t control themselves so they ruin it for everyone.

If I can get a DWI for having a few beers then you dirty hippie pot smokers should get a DWI for smoking a blunt or joint or whatever you potheads smoke. If it can be tested and treated like alcohol then I’m fine. If you’re high at work then you’re fired. If you’re high on pot and driving then a DWI. Every pothead I’ve met was a loser and smoked their self stupid. Weed is for weak people who can’t handle reality.

That's not how our laws work in this country. We aren't told that it's legal to walk down the street. We're told that it's illegal to, by use of force, prevent someone from walking down the street.
Sure it is. There are so many laws on the books you probably broke half a dozen before lunch, and that's not including traffic laws.

I graduated from a Tier 1 University. I don’t work at a plant or smoke a plant like weed. Upper one percent baw. That reminds me I need to work on my taxes before the new tax bill takes effect!

I think what’s hurting it is there are about 499 strains out there that all have different potency. How you react to one strain might differ.
Trying to standardize that and profit from it seems to be a difficult proposition for large companies. What you gonna do...have 100 different skews? There is no Marlboro of weed where the product is known and have everyone has the same level of enjoyment/stimulus.
It just seems like a product with high culpability
