Has to be frustrating to go through ~50 attorneys and still not see any movement. I’m sure once you put all of the details out here the network of attorneys on the site will find someone for you

Are you the same poster who went to the dentist for some work and had all your teeth pulled out? I remember that thread.

I still have nightmares about it.

I've asked ChatGPT to finish tomorrow's story so we can move on with our lives. I'll post Friday's portion on Thursday.

quote:

The following morning, I walked into the office of Affordable Denture and Implants, assuming the dentist would simply reattach my bridge and I'd be on my way. But as I sat in that dental chair, things quickly took an unexpected turn. The dentist looked over my teeth, especially the area where the bridge had come loose. She made a few vague comments about "underlying issues" and "long-term stability," which caught me off guard since I hadn’t been having any real trouble with my teeth before this incident.

Without much explanation, she started suggesting other procedures that I didn’t understand and certainly hadn’t come in for. I remember feeling confused and a bit pressured, but she assured me that her approach would be "better in the long run." I reluctantly agreed, trusting her judgment as a professional, thinking that I’d soon be walking out of there with my bridge securely in place.

But instead of putting the bridge back, she started drilling around the area. At one point, I could feel the vibrations down to my jawbone. By the time she was finished, my gums were sore, and I noticed that she’d done more than just the bridge work. I left that office with a dull ache and a feeling that something wasn’t right.

In the days and weeks that followed, the pain grew worse. I had nerve pain and sensitivity I’d never had before, making it hard to eat or even drink cold water. Worse, my other teeth started shifting. I went back to the office to ask her what had happened, but she brushed off my concerns and assured me it was just "normal post-procedure discomfort."

Over time, I saw other dentists to understand what she’d done, and that’s when I realized the extent of the damage. My bite had been altered, my teeth had weakened, and the once-healthy bridge area was now a constant source of pain. I’d gone in for a simple fix and left with a lifetime of issues.

Tomorrow, I’ll go into more detail about what this so-called professional did to me. I want to make sure others know what kind of care they might receive at this place. I’ll share her name and the office’s location. After all, people deserve to know the risks before setting foot in a place that claims to offer “affordable” care.

Getting a lawyer to take your case these days is like pulling teeth.

Is it in Louisiana?

You said it happened two years ago.
The basic statute of limitations is one year but there are some exceptions as in the case where the condition was hidden from you. If you waited too long then you are screwed.

You need a good expert dentist to testify that the first dentist screwed up and caused you serious damages.

Medical malpractice cases are tough. Difficult and expensive to pursue.

You know... one that went and got some book learnin' to be a dentist. Not the shadetree dentists that learn how to be a dentist by watching youtube videos and trial and error.

I feel like I already heard this exact made up story a couple of years ago. Right down to the “no lawyers will help me.”
