The classic pothead reaction. Your brains are so addled, you can’t simultaneously address two different situations.
Sounds like you need to chill and smoke a bowl.

An addict like yourself should probably avoid marijuana

Nothing riles up the OT like pointing out the low class habit of smoking weed.
Low class top 5
5) Harleys
4) Metal shite in your face
3) tattoos
2) Impregnating your sister
1) Yep, Smoking weed.

I guess i need to try more.

I’ve never seen someone get stoned and go gun down anyone
Half of the murders committed in this country had at least one party under the influence of alcohol.
There have been a few studies on this over the years. The methodology is tricky due to there not always being tox reports on people committing violent crimes (and of those done, timing after the crime might be too long to be accurate), but they seem to come in at around 30% of those committing violent crimes have THC in their system (and often with alcohol and/or other drugs).
Darke's meta study of ~20 studies found 25–35% of offenders tested positive for cannabis/THC.
Rafiei & Kolla's study of 19 studies covering 10k offenders found an association ranging from 25–40% of violent offenders having used cannabis/THC recent to their crime(s).
This isn't the "Reefer Madness" of the last century that postulated how smoking a joint could lead to eating babies or whatever, but rather that prolonged use of high-THC products will eventually cause mania (no different than someone drinking a lot of hard liquor each day over a long period of time will eventually lead to liver problems as well as cognitive impairment/dementia).
The problem we're discussing is that we all recognize and acknowledge the problem with long-term consumption of high levels of alcohol, but people aren't yet willing to admit (or, at least, are loathe to admit) that similar long-term use of high-THC products also causes physical and mental issues.

I dont get "high" like if you smoked and smoking is too harsh for my lungs.
Its more of something I take to sleep, works well for that.
If you just want a quick buzz, its not for you. But if you do overdo it, look out.

No. Because it isn't. And it never will be.

Alcohol is worse for you than weed. I mean Ive done both so I’m not one to judge but just saying.

I think you nailed it. The reality is, pot was maligned in the past in such an extreme way that now, any criticism of it is met with a dismissal and accusations of "refer madness."
I think the main thing that most want is accountability. We tolerate drinking openly only in limited areas and/or controlled events. We can do the same with smoking pot. Smoke stinks and invades other's space like loud music. If we can control music levels we can control smoking. You can generally drink without bothering other people. Police behavior. Keep smoking to designated spaces, police heavily those that smoke outside these spaces. If coups would spend more time addressing the smaller infractions we could do a lot to create a culture where the lines are clear enough to avoid stepping over and if you do, then you pay a price.

Plenty of drugs will always be sold. That isn’t going to stop. No matter who they are being sold from, they will be sold

We addressed this on page 1
Though I will repost as you may have been too slowed by marijuana to understand
All you people who are “oh I’m better I just have an edible” are like the craft brew types of the trashy weed community.
No it doesn’t make you enlightened.
Yes you are still trash

I don’t like the way that shite affects me, so I don’t partake anymore. I’m pretty dry as well. Caffeine and the occasional nicotine pouch are my preferred indulgences, but thanks for your concern, Roger.

I like to smell it all the time. It's easy to identify the fricking losers riding around at 7:30am on Tuesday getting baked.

Correct, it makes me forgetful.
Youre arguing with yourself here, Goober.
Do you take anything for headache?
To help you sleep?
