Because I like Jetskis? How boring are you as a person if you don't like Jetskis.

Rolex is a nice watch but overpriced considering what all is out there.

My butler's butler's butler prefers Omega.

Rolex’s tend to hold their value better than other brands

The only 21st century watch that makes any sense:

Walking down the shopping alleys of Itaewon, South Korea.....
“Hey G.I.!! Me have Rolex!! Good deal for you!! 50 dollar!! Genuine!”
No thanks. I don’t wear a watch to show off. I’ll stick with my basic black banded G-Shock that is functional anywhere.

frick spending 10k plus on a watch. My dumbass will spend 10k on a rifle setup though

I went with an Omega Seamaster. If it’s good enough for James Bond it’s good enough for me.

The most complements I got was for a stainless Swiss Army watch I got with credit card reward points.
Most folks these days have smart watches.

I like my Rolex because it keeps perfect time and is water proof.
A $50 timex with a quartz movement would keep better time, and would be water resistant enough for most needs, unless you're a commercial diver or something.
Not that there's anything wrong with appreciating a fine time piece.

People born in 2000 are going to look at wristwatches like folks born in 1980 look at pocket watches.
I love a classy gold pocket watch! Goes very well with my Monocle, Top Hat and Spats.

just an expensive relic of old people?
It’s not this.
And, a lot of douches buy Rolexes for “show”, but they are a quality time piece and respected in the watch community.

If you’re hood rich it would be. With a bunch of $20’s rolled up in a wad, saggy pants, gold teeth, shite locks, and posing on Instagram with a handgun being held sideways.

I bought a nice Movado on sale at Zales last year for about $300. Great light brown leather strap with a blue headpiece. I love it and am always complimented on it.
I would honestly feel uncomfortable wearing a $10k+ watch on my wrist. I aint OT rich driving a regular old 2016 Totoya SE, so to wear a watch that rivals the price of my car seems illogical.

In my experience Rolex screams “I just got a settlement check and want to show you how much money I can blow.”

Honestly, I don’t think so. They’re obviously great watches but I wouldn’t think twice when I saw one.

Only if trying out as an extra for a Goodfellows remake

Have a baume & mercier and grandfather's Rolex. Hardly wear either, just like the fit bit my wife got me two christmases ago. Phone in pocket, computer on desk, both tell time. Also have a collectible few swatches.
