Seems like no matter what part of the country one visits there will be at least one or more vehicles with Ohio tags.

Too poor to fly?

If you lived in Ohio, you’d want to get out that place as much as possible too.

they do like to leave home a lot.

Anything to get out of that State

Ironic that they claim to be the “birth of flight” state, but always drive everywhere

Well, sure. Ever been to Toledo?

Yeah, Ohioans are always leaving that state.
They're not travelling for fun. Everyone is trying to get out of Ohio. There are lots of pilots from Ohio and Ohio has more astronauts than any other state. Ohio is so bad that at least 25 Ohioans have signed up to flee the planet.
Jim Lovell went to the moon on Apollo 13, survived the explosion that crippled the spacecraft, and made it back to the planet alive, where he promptly broke down in tears. It wasn't because of happiness, relief, breaking of the dam he'd built to keep his emotions in check, etc.
It was because he realized his flying days were over and NASA might send him back to Cleveland.

I say the same thing about Texas plates in LA. If Texas is the greatest country on the planet and all that, then why is I-10 ALWAYS full of Texas tags? I see more of those than LA tags sometimes

Columbus 4th Fastest Growing City In the US
My goodness, what a tired argument. Ohio is 7th in total state population. Columbus, Ohio (880,000 city proper population, 2.1 million metro) is the fastest growing city in the Midwest and ranked 4th in the country in population growth among major US cities last year. It shows no signs of slowing down and could add over 500k residents by 2030. This narrative just simply doesn't fly anymore. Yes, Cleveland has struggled, but even Cincinnati posted its first population gain in several decades by growing over 6k residents to surpass 300k residents. The state of Ohio's population continued to grow to 11.66 million. Ohio is a great state to raise kids in, Midwestern values and is diversifying its economy. This thread is truly nonsense. Its a bunch of people who have most likely never been to Ohio.

Driving to the beach and they haven’t made a loop around Louisiana yet.

One thing I've never understood is how Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois get labeled as 'midwest' when they're east of the MS River. Ohio especially, they're due north of Georgia - I've never thought of Georgia as 'midsouth'.
