Cleveland has had a tough time, but make no mistake, they are investing billions of dollars into revitalizing downtown Cleveland. It has come a long ways...yes it still has a long way to go, but they are finally on the right path. Again, like i said, Columbus is becoming a Midwestern giant. It has been the fastest growing Midwestern city for a long time now, with another 500k residents expected before 2030. Columbus, Ohio is growing equal to or faster than cities like Austin and Nashville. I wish people really knew what they were talking about on this topic.

Because it was the western border of the US. That’s why Illinois has Northwestern University.

Cleveland and Cincy both suck. Their history as ports and industrial towns has yielded a lot of blight and rustbelt decay that Columbus has been able to avoid.

Columbus is pretty nice. We may move there next year.

ETA: Ohio is better than Pennsylvania IMO. As the worst city in the world, Philly really drags the whole state down.

Ohio has 3 cities that are economically better than any city in Louisiana.

Well, where do we start?

Gambling(Lake Charles whole gambling business are Texans)

People traveling to NOLA and Florida coast for vacation

My uncle lives in Houston and is in natural gas. Most of his clients are in LA in LC and Laffy. Houston is known to have a few oil and gas companies.

Also, don't forget more people live in the area from Houston east to the LA border than LA and Mississippi combined. There are always a ton of cars in and out.

Maybe, maybe not? Columbus is just getting started on its downtown core growth, with many many major projects currently under construction. What once was a dream of landing the Amazon HQ2, is now gaining more and more traction. If Columbus can land the new Amazon headquarters, Columbus could soon become a major player on the national stage. Columbus is already a 9 hr drive from like 80 percent of US and Canadian population. Columbus has major geographical advantages going for it.

It's going to be tough to beat out the DC area for that one but it could happen. NOVA just makes too much sense.
