Are peacoats still a thing for men, or has that ship sailed?

We had one up the road from us. Only saw it once, but you could hear it. Cool when they show the feathers.

I still see plenty of people wearing them but I work downtown in a large city. I would say they are still fashionable and look nice. I could never justify buying one just because I wouldn’t get to use it much in the South.

A properly fitting peacoat will always be acceptable outerwear for a man.

If you really want insight in to what is fashionable, you should probably go to some place other than the OT. You expect a bunch of baws to know what's in or out?

They are iconic and never really go out of fashion, it is really what you wear under it that changes. Get a Gloverall or Saint James if you care about quality.

The OT is not a reliable source for information on any topic, other than what poster is best or a link to this or that girl’s instagram. But that doesn’t mean the responses arent entertaining and informative in thier own context.

I still wear the same one I've had since the late 90s. I wear it about 5 days per year in South Louisiana or when traveling. Might explain its longevity.

I have and wear my dad’s one from when he was in the Navy back in the early ‘40s.
Don’t get cold enough down here to wear it often, but I like when I do get to wear it.
My son will get it after me.

I'm still rocking mine from the late 90s. I don't really care if it's in style.

They are still a thing for this man. I get to wear it about twice per year.
