Coats are needed so infrequently in the south, I don’t know that anything is particularly fashionable or not.

You're overthinking this. Just get dressed and go out.

On a side note, peahens are better than dogs for property security.

Peacoats are timeless. I have a navy blue one that I wear about 4-5 times a year. They look good and they're very warm. They also seem to last forever, my dad has his from the early 70's and it looks no more than a few years old.

The Navy wears navy blue. The Merchant Marine wears black. Questionable characters wear other colors.

The only jacket you'll ever need. This timeless classic suits any occasion, from visiting an art gallery to roughing someone up.

I own one, but I rarely wear it. In south Louisiana, I find a blazer to be far more functional. If it happens to be cold enough to need more than a winter blazer, an overcoat would be in order.

I have one that I rarely wear because Louisiana.

Found it on sale a while back and couldn’t resist. Think I’ve worn it twice in 3 years.

I just bought a herringbone patterned wool trench a few weeks ago.

Have gotten compliments from cougars and older black guys.

Not what I was going for.

If old brothas are giving you compliments, you have reached the pinnacle of swag.

Tell my gf, she thinks I look like a douche.

I got a:

"Nice coat there boss man"

And

"Your ol lady has to be black."

I blame the coordinated vest, shirt, and brown calfskin gloves for the second one
