They all copy black folks slang

Similarly how I eliminated 67 jokes in my house use the phrase constantly

It is very funny and deciphering their speech is a favorite past time of mine

When talking with my daughter, I started using “low key” constantly like she did. She never said anything about it, but I’ve noticed her use of the term “low key” has virtually vanished. I don’t think I’ve heard her use the term in months.
I did something similar. Two years ago or so when "rizz" was in heavy rotation in my kids conversations, I went and bought a shirt that says "This dad has Rizz" in big letters. Wore it to the airport on a family trip. Every compliment I got from random strangers upped the redness in their faces. Not sure I heard it much after.

Considering it has always happened in some form, I think it likely does have to be this way
No, it hasn't. It has only been this way for a short amount of time.
Children growing up in the 50's weren't growing up using ghetto slang and idolizing retards mumbling shite in autotune, that's a newer phenomenon.
Yes, the 60's kids fell in love with the Beatles and Elvis and the against the grain loud persona, but they could still read, write, annunciate, and rationally think.
Modern society has a disproportionate amount of retards walking around. We are regressing. Kids are "graduating" and can barely read.
"Yeaaaaa, but my Grandfather didn't even have an 8th grade education!"
Yea, and he was probably a morally stout person with an incredible work ethic as well, unlike so many in today's society.
It matters. Speaking appropriately or at least knowing how matters because it is the binding that creates a polite society.
Deterioration of that leads to Idiocracy, which we have been living in for 20 years now.

The quickest way to get my kids to stop using these words is to use them on my own kids. No cap.

I don’t think this is true. I do think you get more exposure to them because of addictions to social media. Ever since I deleted the apps a few years ago I get less exposure to loudest idiots out there

Well, you are objectively wrong. But ok.
You would barely be able to communicate with someone from the 1850s. Language evolves with each generation.
You can hate it. That's fine. But pretending that this is a recent phenomon would make you one of those "retards walking around".

Do you know any teachers, specifically teachers that have been in it for 2+ decades?
There are a few teachers and a principal in my immediate family, including my wife. I think they would beg to differ.

Better they are low key than on the down low

We should bring back 1920's slang.
"Would you like to go out on a date this Saturday night?"
in 1920's slang:
"Well, well, well — what's the big idea, sister? Would you like to step out on a date this coming Saturday night? Say, I'm askin' you straight — how's about you and me paint the town red, see? We'll find a swell speakeasy, maybe catch a vaudeville show, and I'll treat you to a sarsaparilla or a giggle-water if you're feelin' frisky. What a pip that'd be! So, what do you say, toots? Toodle-oo if you're game, or twenty-three skidoo if you ain't!"

These threads bring out all the morons who must’ve lived under a rock growing up. Every generation goes through cycles of slang. Some come back around and some just fade away..

“Finna.” No wonder jobs are difficult to find if people talk like this.
