I saw the thread title and came here to make a witty Hope Solo reference, thinking I would be original.

Stopped in when they first reopened over there and it was depressing. They put zero effort into that new location. I was expecting business to boom for them right there but I’m afraid they would’ve been better off staying on a Chimes.

Raising Canes

But on that note, wtf is Chicky Santos and why are there so many of them out of nowhere?

Just in that area alone I think the following will shut down in 2026:
Dickey's
Atomic Burger
McAlister's

Canes purchased the land next to McDonalds. I’m wondering when they will make the move from Lee.

I would say that Peruvian place on Perkins/Essen but that place is clearly a money laundering scheme so it probably won’t shut down. That place is always empty when I drive by.

I think Atomic is already closed.
Dickey’s isn’t bad, but that location does them no favors.

Overrated and ridiculously expensive

They're still open. Went last week and it was decent. Solid shakes and fries, and the burgers are good. It's the best fastfood/drive-thru burger in that part of town; not that the bar is that high.
Also, I'll agree on the overrated part, especially since it comes out to $15-20 for a burger meal.
I prefer Our Mom's in that area, but sometime the drive-thru convenience wins out.

I'm afraid this poor girl is done for.
You might even say it's curtains for her

These two for sure. No idea how either of them is still in bidness.

PB&J Bacon burger is legit. A little messy...but legit.

Odd how both WBRZ and WAFB had stories on a random fast food place closing

I'm not saying Arby's is bad, but it's not a place I ever consider going to eat.

We get it about once a month. If you have kids, the sliders are a pretty good option. Better than a greasy burger or fried chicken sandwich. I alternate between the French dip, Reuben, and roast beef sandwich.

I still can’t believe Pluckers is gone. That place was a defining part of my time at LSU in the 2010s. Left permanent marks on my arteries, esophageal lining, and several toilets.
Fuzzys hurt too.
