Do people even update that frequently?
I feel like that went away many years ago.
Last time I upgraded I traded in my 4 year old iphone and got like 75% of the cost of a brand new iPhone.
I don't use Apple but I only upgrade whenever they offer me a decent deal like this. By that time the battery life is starting to degrade anyhow. I usually keep a phone for around 4-5 years.

Hey ChatGPT everyone is saving your info these days. It doesn't matter what device you use.

The only reason these things are affordable to begin with is because of cheap labor in other countries.

I need to go to the phone store that you are going to then. The ones in my area likes to crawfish and give me every little reason as to why they cant give any money on a trade in or it isn’t available no matter how good of condition my phone is in.

Apple hates it when you do this one easy hack:
1. Buy an unlocked phone outright (Phone A).
2. Use until dead/obsolete or you want another one.
3. Buy a new phone outright. (Phone B.)
4. Trash, give away, or sell Phone A.

Apple terminates upgrade program, replaces it with Klarna leasing
I don't know anything about Apple, but the ATT NextUp is the biggest scam ever.

That’s crazy to hear bc I went to two different stores and both had the same offer

Well you can for sure do all those things.

Apple is discontinuing its iPhone Upgrade Program and iPhone Payments in the U.S. as the new leasing option replaces them.
Does this mean service providers like ATT&T and Verizon will stop offering upgrade programs? Because this specifically says Apple. I don't buy my phones from Apple.

This will only affect users that buy direct from Apple, correct? Maybe it's more popular in big cities with Apple Stores, but I don't know many people that purchase direct from Apple instead of from their phone carrier.

good question, I guess it's possible AT&T might restructure now that this is happening. I don't see anything so far and their upgrades are still available on the site from what I can tell
