Apparently what I just ordered on amazon is coming from China

Obviously most of the stuff is made there but is distributed through US companies very quickly. Well I just ordered a camera part and just got the tracking on it and apparently it’s coming directly from China. Never had that happen before.
It’ll likely take longer by their estimate than my purchases on DH Gate. Pretty disappointed and they won’t let me cancel it and apparently it’s ineligible for return. I’m definitely going to start moving away from shopping on amazon. I’ve already started getting all of my camera equipment from B&H and have been very satisfied with their customer service and inventory as well as their prices compared directly to amazon.

Local corporations...who have a gnome in the back of their shop who will custom carve that part from plastic salvaged from a landfill? And it will be ready in how many months?
I've gotten things ordered from abroad (used books from NZ and Australia), a bit of electronics from Israel (not available in the US anywhere) and part of a collection of books from an estate sale in England.
There are things that just aren't available here.
Besides, I'm not allowed to go out and shop at my advanced age and decrepitude.

Your best option is it takes longer than expected for shipping. If it isn't there by more than 3 days after the latest delivery date, you can request a refund.

I’ve had two items I ordered on Amazon come directly from China. Think they both shipped DHL.

I ordered some tool bags from Harbor Freight recently and it took over two weeks for them to ship. I ordered some trailer hardware from northern tool on Sunday and it still has not shipped.
