Anyone’s vehicle have automatic brake hold?

I’ve always thought the worst feature of automatics was that you had to press the brake pedal in so the car doesn’t move forward...we’ll apparently not anymore. Wife’s car has this button:
When you come to stop the car hold itself in that position for a second or two, displays a green A like that on the dash, then it goes into red PARK mode..kind of hunkers down a bit. All releases when you press the gas.
I found this out by accidentally pressing this button with my arm then trying to drive into one of those attended car washes. They tell you to put the car in neutral and keep your feet off the brakes...yea well the damn car would not move. Had no idea. Felt like a total dumbass when the wheel guides kept going under the tires. Stopped the whole wash train. Now I know. Pretty cool feature when you’re expecting it, and know how to turn it off.

Mine does. Manual transmission so the car will hold the brake for a second or so when on an incline.

My manual jeep has hill start assist. It keeps you from rolling backward when you let off the brake. It's great for learning stick but it throws you off if you're used to the vehicle rolling back a bit before taking off.

My manual does too...but this feature in an automatic is new to me. Wish I would have found out in a more ideal manner.
Pretty cool being take your foot off the brake, like I do in my manual, at the lights.

Yes, and it's nice in a drive thru line

No, I'm old school. I drive the car. I don't need the car to drive for me.

My MINI has this. Comes in handy sometimes.

We just bought an Acura this weekend and supposedly it has it, wife hasn't tried it yet.

mine just holds in place for a few seconds. It's nice on inclines but I don't think about it beyond that.

On a side note Saint, are you in the BR area? If so, where do you get your Mini serviced?

My Hondas have had them since 2016. I love it. Great in city traffic, at lights, and drive-thrus. Would be a big strike against if a new car I was looking at didn't have it now after going 4 years with it.

Are the brake lights still on? Haven’t really played with it...we thought it was automatic ignition shut off, the symbols are almost identical.
Auto brake
Auto restart
I know they don’t look the exactly the same, we just didn’t think about it.

Yep, love it. Works great for stop and go traffic.

God I know holding the break is such a problem...
