I know the riots definitely contributed and saying they didn’t is ridiculous. But how the frick did these two places avoid it?

My honest opinion is that most of them have already had it. Look at the death rates in NYC from a month or two ago... We're missing something here

greatly contributed in some areas within some age ranges; that is, if we are playing the blame game on the spread of a pandemic. which our news media has shown an interest in.

march - "south beach"
may - "stop the lockdown rallies"
may - "memorial day parties"
july - "college covid=19 catch parties"
july - "4th of july parties"

but protests? nah.....

It’s a combination and spikes are happening everywhere including NYC and Minneapolis. The size of the spikes relative to earlier trends are smaller in some places.

Also, many protestors were people in their 20s through 40s who tend to have higher rates if asymptomatic cases. These people aren’t necessarily getting tested, and so you aren’t seeing as big of spikes.

In the end it is a combination of lots of factors and the protests are a significant one. As is reopening bars and restaurants.

That said, let dumbasses play for the Darwin Award and move things along for us all of they want. I can’t feel bad for people who need to socialize so badly or protest so badly they will put others at risk.

The spike in total cases is 100% due to enormous increase in testing. Also incredibly unreliable testing reporting methods.

Deaths and hospitaliations are declining despite what the propagandists tell you. Vast majority of positives are asymptomatic. This thing is a dud and not worthy of a shite down of any kind. If this wasn't an election year this shite would have never been taken to this level.

Lots of sweat flopping and flying around in NOLA in tight crowds unlike cool weather up north.

“On one hand conservatives say that the spike is just do to more testing, then on the other hand say it is because of the protest. “

This doesn’t have to be and either/or. It can be both.

Why is that funny?

If I call you a pedophile without any evidence, is it true if you don’t prove you aren’t?

The burden of proof is always on the person making a claim.

Why is the percentage of positive cases also rising? While increased testing and capturing a higher percentage of asymptomatic cases is a part of the rise in total numbers, it didn't account for 100% of the increase.

Hospitalizations are up in many areas. Deaths can't decline unless Lazarus or Jesus are involved, but the rate of deaths I think are declining. That is likely due to the reduced median age of those becoming infected.

Also, there is little doubt that the protests have contributed to spread. There is also little doubt that carelessness in bars has contributed to the spread. Anyone that attempts to argue otherwise is simply filling themselves.

But you are claiming what he said was wrong.

I don't even know what comment you originally responded to, just pointing that out.

Why were the Democraps encouraging protest during a pandemic when its reported that covid is killing more blacks than any other race?

Are they intentionally trying to kill off black people?

This virus was around as far back as December and maybe even earlier. Nobody was being tested then until basically April. How do you know a higher percentage of people are now positive? Especially the asymptomatic? You don't. Schools were open in Jan, Feb with really no issues. This is a fabricated pandemic.
