Scruffy contacted every dealer in his state to find something he was looking for.
Took 3 weeks once it was found, but that was for a truck that was already ordered.
Scruffy was told it would take at least 3 months if he wanted anything specific.

Honda. Nothing longer than a few months, but mostly 2-6 week average. Depending what vehicle you are looking for.

Ordered a GMC Sierra in spring of 21, it sat in a field until April 22. About October of 21 I found one at another dealer and canceled my order, but dealer called when it came in and asked if I still wanted it. About 14 months after it rolled of factory floor.

Going on a year for my Escalade, I can find one but not with the options I want.

I’ve ordered two very specific cars this year. Both dealers asked for $500 refundable deposit which was fine by me. One Toyota dealership wanted $1000 non-refundable so I walked out.
Toyota took about 6 weeks.
The other model was supposed to take 4 months but ended up only taking 3.
The price of extended warranties was way up because of higher parts costs (allegedly). Overall, not a bad experience since I knew everyone was getting screwed as bad as I was.

Took about a month, but it was a car already scheduled to come to the dealership and I put my name on it. So not custom.

I can’t tell if you’re joking or not, but I LOVE the new Escalade.

I know someone who ordered an Escalade in January and is still waiting for it

I am one of the sales managers at Supreme Toyota and It does take 3-6 months on average. Your more common vehicles like your Camrys and regular gas sedans are on the lower end, while the hybrid and the more higher end vehicles, such as trucks are running 6 months. I’m telling people now that are ordering hybrid vehicles and vans that they won’t get them until mid 2023. Crazy times we are in.

I ordered an Escalade ESV from Cadillac of New Orleans last week. It has since been accepted by GM. Dealer told me I am on the dealerships first round (truck) of orders. It's a Platinum with all the goodies, so maybe it was allocated already and I just picked up the build. There were no restrictions on the order. I assume that if you get the top of the line model you get priority.
Dealer gave me a hard promise of 2 to 3 months for delivery. It's a '23 in which GM starts assembly on 7/18. They said they used to have problems with the chips, but ever since GM has gone the way of building now and sending chips later, it has sped up deliveries.
Lincoln Dealer told me 6 months for a Navigator.
I am still skeptical of that delivery timeframe, but maybe it holds true considering the following theories:
-gas prices are insane which caused demand to plummet the past three months, and dealers are not ordering a huge inventory of '23's.
-the new process of chips being installed by the dealership eliminates the cars from sitting in a parking lot.
-the dealer has clout with GM (its owned by Gayle Benson) and does high sales volume. They may be getting the hookup over Mom and Pop Cadillac.
-I ordered before the assembly has started, which I am towards the front of the line.
Fingers crossed.
