Anyone recently order a car? How long did it take for it to come in?

Wife (pic below) wanted the Hybrid Aviator, so ordered it at the dealership yesterday. Guy said deliveries are "averaging" 3 to 6 months. Thought that seemed like an awful large range for an average? He also shared horror stories of some cars taking over a year because of things getting screwed up at the factory.

Just curious what others are experiencing?

I ordered a Yukon Denali on April 29. They said 4-6 months. As of today, it still has not been officially "accepted" by GM to build. Apparently that only happens when GM has a slot to allocate to them...probably something based on sales volume of the dealer.

My buddy has been waiting months on his Bronco. They quoted him 6. He believes it will be longer than that.

Recently purchased a BMW X5 from Brian Harris. When we ordered they said 6-8 weeks, delivered in 8 weeks. No extra dealer mark ups.

While we know it’s not your wife, I applaud you for taming the wolves.

Most of these manufacturers don't actually take orders.

A lot of dealers say they are ordering it for you when in reality they are just waiting to be allocated one that meets the buyers specs.

Ordered Toyota Sienna Platinum in mid-April, they said it would be around 3-4 months.

In between that time, every time an XLE came in, they hassled tf out of us to take it off their hands bc 'no way of knowing if we'll ever get another Platinum'

We took delivery of a Sienna Platinum at the very end of June, which is exactly within the timeline.

16 weeks. Some take longer depending on what you get. It’s all about getting the chips.

Everyone knows that. It’s the thought that counts though.
