Just looking at Twitter feeds, not really exhausting. Exaggerate things much?

The original JC superstar is GOAT. Ill turn in for remake but my expectations are low

Nah I'm not into that kind of stuff.

Sandy Lyle is the GOAT Judas.

I'm holding out for the off-Broadway version starring Flava Flav as Jesus.

I liked a few of their songs, but who still listens to that? It's not like they are all time classic.

Anyone plan on seeing "Jesus Christ Superstar" w/ John Legend as Jesus

You mean John Stephens. That is his real name. It astounds me at the pure arrogance of this guy to have a stage name with the word Legend in it.

Flava Flav is not intersectional enough for the director IMO.

No. But I wouldn't watch it regardless of who was playing Jesus.

Brilliant is some areas, idiot in other areas. Take a look at his Twitter feed.
Could be maybe be marketing himself to his base to make millions of more dollars off of his music?
But I'm sure a kid who graduated high school at 16 as Salutatorian, attended Penn, worked for a Boston consulting firm, then had his side project of music turn into a career that won him 10 grammys (28 noms), is probably too stupid to figure something like that out.

John Legend really does think he’s Jesus. Great role

So he can't say or do stupid things? I'm not following.

lol.
It's impossible to not be beat over the head by his extremist, radical, racist, anti-white views.

Alice Cooper is playing King Herod in this
I don't see Alice Cooper engaging in anything sacreligious given his devout Christian beliefs

The real Jesus was Brown
Wrong. Jesus' mother was Roman and his Father was God who we know is white

Looking forward to it very very much. Sara Bareilles just might be a great Mary Magdalene.
ETA: Does anyone know who's playing Judas, who is at least as important as Jesus in this thing? When I looked at it a month ago, it was still a secret.

I'm saying he might have ulterior motives for his political comments that you deem as stupid on the surface.
And you called him a "huge idiot".

Well a quick gander at my Spotify shows The Dixie Chicks have 4 of their top 5 songs with over 25mil plays and #5, "Goodbye Earl", has 15mil.
Those songs were all released before 1999.
The artist page on Spotify shows 1.5mil users who are monthly followers.
Considering Spotify didn't get going in the US until about 2011 and a TON of country music fans still buy all their music through iTunes, I'd say a lot of people still listen to those songs.
Just say it "I AM WE TODD DID."
